Our family have farmed the land at Puldagon since the 1920’s.....and although a lot has changed in that time, our love for our animals and working the land remains the same!
We are a small working farm breeding Highland cattle, North Country Cheviot Hill sheep and Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep. We also have peacocks, ducks, hens, goats, ferrets, a Shire horse, a Clydesdale horse and a Shetland Pony.
As we are a WORKING FARM, not a walk or petting farm, we politely request that seek PERMISSION from staff in the shop before accessing the farm gates and visiting our animals.
The welfare and safety of both our customers and our animals is our top priority.
We operate heavy machinery on the farm and may have sheep lambing or occasionally animals loose in the farm area and therefore it is not always safe or suitable for customers to visit.
.
We have recently reduced our flock of North Country Hill Cheviots to 40.....but they still keep us busy, especially at lambing time!
We love our Highland Coo's! We currently have 9 girls including Anna our white, hand reared Highland who loves a scratch and cuddle!
Ord Moana is our beautiful Clydesdale horse. She was bred by the Johnstons at their Clydesdale stud in Muir of Ord.
Robins Brae Virkie is our super cheeky peerie Shetland pony.
We have a growing flock of the ever so gorgeous Swiss Valais sheep. Pictured is one of our lambs born April 2024.
Westside Prince aka Ted is our Shire horse. Hes a very big boy who loves carrots and cuddles...in that order!
Mr Blue is our Indian Blue peacock! We also have two peahens and and three juvenile peacocks, including Mr Frosty who is pure white!
