Our family have farmed the land at Puldagon since the 1920’s.....and although a lot has changed in that time, our love for our animals and working the land remains the same!
We are a working farm breeding Highland cattle, North Country Cheviot Hill sheep and Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep. We also have peacocks, ducks, hens, ferrets a Shire horse, a Clydesdale horse and a Shetland Pony.
As we are a WORKING FARM, not a walk or petting farm, and you must seek PERMISSION from staff in the shop before accessing the farm gates and visiting our animals.
The welfare and safety of our animals and our customers is our top priority.
We operate heavy machinery on the farm and occasionally have animals loose in the farm area and therefore it is not always safe or suitable for customers to visit.
.
We have a flock of around 90 North Country Hill Cheviots who keep us busy, especially at lambing time! This pair are our 2021 'pet' lambs Frankie and Phoebe. They're super cute but always up to mischief!
We love our Highland Coo's! We currently have 9 girls including Anna our white, hand reared Highland who loves a scratch and cuddle!
Queenie is our beautiful Clydesdale horse. Having just turned 2 years old in March 2021 she's still a baby!
Robins Brae Virkie is our peerie Shetland pony and Queenies new best buddy.
We have a growing flock of the ever so gorgeous Swiss Valais sheep. Pictured is Katrina our Swiss import along with last years lambs Harry and Henry.
We have a few Soay Sheep and above is one of this years lambs. The Soay is a breed of domestic sheep descended from a population of feral sheep on the 100-hectare island of Soay in the St Kilda.
